Our Trailer

 Firstly, we went behind the mansion to do some filming with the football goals then we filmed the scene of Max scoring a goal. After that, we went to the changing rooms and filmed Max, who scored the goal, getting assaulted by a person. Then we went back to the  media room and film with the green screen overall it was very fun and different.

 1 Analyse how camerawork is used in the extract to create meaning. Refer to at least two examples from the extract in your answer. (5 marks) 

2. Analyse how far the extract creates a humorous view of policing. In your answer you must:

• analyse aspects of the extract using examples to support your analysis

• make judgements and draw conclusions about how far these aspects create a humorous view of policing. (10 marks) 

Example of how to answer on camerawork:

•   sweeping aerial shot of Brighton pier connoting a glamorous seaside location

•   bird’s eye view of the small police car driving through

  the streets of Brighton on a call-out, carrying connotations such as danger, excitement, and urgency

•   the use of an over-the-shoulder shot of the beach sign, as we arrive at the sign at the same time as the police officer, connoting surprise and anticipation of what is to come

•   slow pan / track of the new recruit police officers as they are introduced to the audience connoting authority and power

•   high angle long shot of the beach scene showing the police officer outnumbered by the group of men on the stag do

•   any other relevant analysis 

Q1. Camera work is used to create meaning by different techniques. For Example, the arc plan shot is used when the girl is taking her clothes of trying to cause a scene and make false rape allegations. Another type of camera work is the birds eye view shot, they use this to show the full view of the police car driving through Brighton. This is used well as you can see the speed of the car, where it’s going and everything around it. This shot causes adventure and excitement.

Q2. This extract takes policing views to quite a far and humorous extent. Such as, the police have been called for a job of these two girls who have robbed a shop, the police men came to the scene as soon as possible and tried to block them off whilst they were trying to run away.  But smartly and sort of tactically to try and get let off and the women took advantage of the new recruit and started to take of her clothes and pulled the officers hand towards her barley clothed body making it seem like he was forcing her to take of her clothes and she tried to seem that she was being sexually assaulted which worked because another member of public filmed it. Many viewers would find this funny, but some awkward, as the police officer was stunned and had no idea what to do next.                                                                                             

 In conclusion, in my opinion I think that, in this scene makes the policing seem humorous as the women easily knew that by making the police man look like he is sexually assaulting her, which some people however may not find funny, they would have a defence for what they were doing and a way to try and take the blame of them and put it onto the officers. Also, the other lady filming the police officer 'assault and accuse him of rape allegations when he has done nothing wrong. This could be and for some viewers would of been seen as humorous as you can tell before the video was taken that she was forcefully forcing him to put his hand near her exposed body. I also found this part humorous when one of the police officers joked about their Italian heritage saying that 'you have a bit of lasagne in your teeth.'

1.    1.   ‘Lawyers will urge divorce by consent’. This is an example of social reform, showing that the law commission is recommending divorce by consent that made it easier for people, mostly women to get a divorce. This shows women equality to be respected more and that it is not just men that control the relationship and women should have a say.

2.. ‘We’re very happy’- This shows and reflects a male-controlled context in which women are most often defined in terms of their relationship with men and also shows that the male is talking for the women and she doesn’t have her own opinion.
