What sorts of audiences are they targeting? You could think about MOJO's rock aesthetic of living loud and dangerously compared to RNR's folk, rock, blues vibe. 
• Mojo's choice of colours is vibrant, electric, dynamic. Particularly, the primal colours in the mount, with its playful skeleton. By contrast, RNR uses soft dull browns and only red as an accent colour 
• In Mojo, Dave Grohl is positioned dominant, Foo Fighter (different font) it is word art and presents it is funky, energy. 
• Pull quote shows that they have been through many adventures and even jail. This media language reflects a very stereotypical lifestyle.
• Now draw contrasts. All though both magazines feature a star, both celebrate this star, mojo does so in a more dynamic aggressive confrontational way, compared to RNR gentle, lowkey, folksy vibe. This is because Mojo targets a primarily rock audience, while RNR is aimed at folk blues audiences.
• One of the magazines are busier than the other, e.g Mojo's cover is clustered because of the numerous cover lines, images, puffs and a very dynamic cover mount in neon colours, with a vibrant cartoon image.
• RNR also have many cover lines but they are all more minimalistic and justified RH margin, they are all in white creating a calm orderly uncluttered quality. Equally the cover mount with its modest verbal play unheard unheard is very plain and streamlined.
• All though both magazines feature many articles, RNR is more orderly and restrained.

brief 4 website statement of intent

 My website is called: The Next Step

Brief 4:

 I created homepage and one linked web page for a hobby website, called Next Step, targeted at an audience primarily of 14-18 years olds. In the website I have created dummy articles such as 'How to improve shooting.' This will attract many young footballers to improve its shooting, so they can reach the next step and become a better footballer overall. This is aimed at 14-18 years old, as this is the biggest step in footballing career's and this is when professional footballers are made.

In the blog I will be using informal language, however persuasive terms will be used to attract these rising footballers to improve and step up their game. My hobby website intends to persuade teens to carry their football journey and try to make it as a professional.

My website is all about football and in my website I will be posting a young star article. This is on Emile Smith Rowe, who is a breakthrough star for Arsenal, who recently made his debut for England. In this article I will be showing how Smith Rowe has stepped up his overall game. This will hopefully persuade young footballers to keep working hard, as they could reach the level that their potential holds.

In this article, I will be filming Tom Wilson and Alex Histon. Both of these young stars play for academy and both have the potential to reach Smith Rowe's footsteps. I will be filming these at Claremont by the football pitch. This will be filmed in a scenic manner, which will hopefully inspire young footballers. I will also be using editing to make this more inspiring and dramatic. 

In conclusion, I hope for my blog to make young footballers keep going in their journey to becoming a professional footballer, just like Emile Smith Rowe.

Observer Views and Beliefs

 The representations featured in the online Observer reflects it's values and beliefs. Discuss how far you agree with this statement in the relation to extract 3, the online Observer homepage. 

- The online observer has a sense of duty to the reader and the community showing their values and beliefs which are more socially liberal which shows 

- you can tell it reflects the belief of equally showing of importance of different thing e.g politics, adverts, hard news... 

- The papers header is identical in colour and placement to The Guardian which shows that the same admirable beliefs apply to them as well. 

- The paper also keeps up to date with covid19 news which is very topical- again showing that the paper always has the most relative news- and shows a variety of angles as not to seem too one sided.

- provides a balance to more difficult topics (showing its beliefs in not hiding the truth)

- includes online and offline information as well as images of all type of people and all races which show it is diverse. 

Therefore I conclude that, I do agree with this statement because as you can see here the observer shows it's beliefs and values.

03 creating media 2022

 

Website: In my website there could be a video of me showing young people a good diet on how to keep fit and have good energy for football. I would do this because I want to show people and inspire people to get into football. I could also cook a meal and show why it is nutritional and good fore   I also might have pictures of people my age (14-15) playing football. I also could have pictures of professional footballers who I look up to.  I would talk about my local football club and how I loved playing for my local team I will use informative language which will be appropriate for teenagers and will persuade people why football is fun and is good for you. An example newspaper articles would be 'Young teenage scores in cup final!' 'Claygate royals take home victory in a tense 1:0 win!' 

I can write about will be a general idea of football and on how it can inspire people. I would also talk about my experience with football and my Sunday league career. My brother and I both play football so I could get a picture of him and I playing football. 

I could write about tips and how to get into football for beginners. I could also have a phrase that Gareth Southgate has said about how to get better and advance at football. I may be inspired to play football but you may not so how would I inspire you to get into football. I think you should go for trails at a club to then get your place into a team. I could talk about how I first started and try and inspire young people to join a football team around my age and younger.
