This suggests their only aim is to satisfy and look appealing to their husbands.

Ethnicity: 

• There is a lack of ethnicity here as there not many groups of race. For example, there are only two black people and much more white people.

• The Law Commission was to recommend divorce "by consent". This was to be expected in these times and many people did it.
